So today is the day! Bucket list ✔️✔️

Mom listed months ago that she had never been on a train, and her favorite time of years is fall foliage ....

Bam! Perfect combo ... peak foliage on a train on a Saturday afternoon!!!

Wow, if reincarnation exists, I want to come back with YOU as my caretaker (if I should need one).

My sister, who now lives in Austin, Texas, use to live in Connecticut. My daughter and I flew out there (2002) and did a week of a New England autumn leaf trip. FABULOUS!

Sunny and warm here.

The autumn leaves are quite magical so many colours I always wish I could paint. How lovely to tick off another experience from your mom’s bucket list - well done for keeping the momentum up of making memories

Fabulous! Not the adjective used on rush hour train commutes to London, your mum certainly came up with a great outing with this bucket wish list. Glad you both enjoyed it.

You are amazing bazooka111!!...I have been encouraged by your postings of what you do with your mom...I am trying hard to 'copy' your involvement ....with my sister...have to use a wheelchair taxi but have been able to get her out of her Long Term Care facility for an afternoon....These times are so precious...thankyou!!

Skye04 ... I have experienced some sudden losses in my lifetime, and to have this time with my Momma, encourages me to embrace the days as gifts ... so with that, fill your day with joy! Joy can be many things ... simple things. Joy this week has been candy corn, chocolate cake, and her her favorite movie with popcorn ... right at the moment it is fried corn bread, sweet corn and buttery mashed potatoes for lunch!! Live out Loud, I say!

You know as a "Rail Fan" I have to give 2 thumbs up for this outing. Was this a dining rail trip or just a tour? Too bad it wasn't live steam with the smells and noise. That is sensory overload I am glad to push myself through!

Any pictures from onboard?

This was not the dining trip, but there is another trip we could take for that —- it was super beautiful, and so very relaxing! My Momma enjoyed every minute - we travels through our national forest, and fall foliage was breathtaking.

I’m incredibly grateful to have been able to do this for Momma - I see things changing, and I continue to pray to be able to bring her joy every day —- as I write this, her joy is the buttery mashed potatoes with her lunch! It’s the little things, right!! - blessings to you
