Wheelchair car for sale

Hi! Is there anyone out there caring for someone with PSP or similar that needs a car that can accommodate a wheelchair? My father is selling a Renault Kangoo converted to take wheelchair, with ramp and belts/restraints to hold the wheelchair in place. It is 10 years old but in good working order. If interested in knowing more please let me know. It's located in Surrey.

Hi, what sort of price are you looking for? I am interested for my mum, but have no budget to buy it myself, so I am asking my parents to pay, so I would like to be able say how much.

Thanks Julie

Hi Julie

Thanks for your interest. Now I know you might be interested, I'll ask my dad how much he'd like for it. Will come back to you...

Hi Julie

We've thought about this and looked at various price comparison sites. It's only got 24,215 miles on the clock and is in good condition. It is an automatic and very easy to drive. The MOT was done in May. We're thinking of £4750. How does that sound to you? Let me know what you think.

Libby

p.s. i don't know what the situation is with your mother, but in case it's relevant we recently lent the car to a friend who was caring for his housebound mother who had dementia and couldn't walk. Having the car completely transformed the lives of the whole family. We'd really like the car to go to a good home where it will make positive impact.

Hi Libby, sorry to keep you waiting. We are not going to be able to get the WAV after all. I really want one as my mum is now in a wheelchair all the time and can't stand at all to transfer to a car, my dad is her main carer, but he can't get her out in her wheelchair as he is also in one! I was hoping that a WAV would give my sister and I the opportunity to get mum out and about a bit, but as it would not be in use full time, my dad feels that it is not a justifiable expense, with insurance etc too.

I think it will be a good vehicle for someone and a fair price, but not for us this time. Sorry. Thank you for your reply. Julie
