I treated mom to a day on the river! We went on a boat called the Nautica Queen; enjoyed a lunch buffet and a sightseeing cruise! She wore a new top that she absolutely loves - seeing her happy makes everything so much easier.
It’s not that we don’t have our challenges, because we do - I’m facing some reality checks around the corner with her mobility. If I were to compare her walking to just 3 months ago - completely different. In addition to needing help in personal hygiene now ... so many changes ... I hate this disease!!

What a lovely relationship you have with your mother. Even with PSP you can have wonderful times together. Some never have that even without this awful condition. Cherish all of those moments and continue having fun.
Were your ears burning yesterday? You came up in our conversation, when we got together in London. All agreed that you must be a wonderful daughter, giving so much time to your mother, making her life worth living despite this evil illness. You are showing that life is not ended, just because of the diagnosis of PSP. It's always the simplest of things, that really makes any one of us happy. Keep up the good work, you are a great role model for the rest of us. Thank you.
(Don't worry, we can all read between the lines, we know how hard life really is, that's what makes your posts so special!)
This has touched my heart deeply this morning. I just posted publicly on my Facebook yesterday, sharing a bit of what is happening with my sweet Momma, and I guess based on pictures no one had a clue. I travel a lot for business, but just recently we have re-organized our business so that I can stay home with her - I can’t imagine anything else. Some days trying to find the joy is hard, but we press forward don’t we? I wish I could have joined in this get together, honestly I’d cross the pond in a second if I could - someday I will meet you all. Blessings, Kim
