I thought I would share a picture of my parents about 3 years ago. My dad lost his battle with colon cancer two years ago, and my Mom took care of him all the way through to the very end. About 4 months after he passed away, she started falling, and things started to progress from there.
It’s amazing to think that she was showing few signs through his 18 month battle.
I find myself wondering what things would be like if he was still living —- he expected a lot from her, and I know that we would have locked horns on her care if he were here now.
Only God knows ... I cherish every day I have with her.

That's a GREAT photo. Your mom and dad show so much expression and depth of personality in their faces. Such a handsome couple. That's so kind of you to share the photo with us.
You could, if you chose, cut yourself out of the photo and have just the two of them put in a frame. It IS a wonderful photo.
Before there was you and your siblings, there was ONLY the two of them. From them came you and ...... I'm glad he was not present to lock horns over the care of your mom. I'm sure it would have upset your mom.
Today I had lunch with Jeff's paid caretaker. It was such a NICE NICE visit. Tonight he is driving one of his brother's and date to the prom. He said he's their unpaid UBER driver. I came home and organized old letters of Jeff, from 1979. I have not read them all, not since receiving them decades and decades ago.
