My wife Anne who has CBD loves the theatre. The west end shows are so expensive. I heard that theatre offer discounted prices for suffers & carers. Has any readers heard about these offers?

Thank you in advance.

Alex

We saw several shows, although not in London. Once my husband had a wheelchair, I always got in free with no questions asked. Before the wheelchair I still got in free but had to confirm he would have been unable to go alone and asked for the seats for the disabled.

It’s not only the theatre where the carer goes free. In the U.K. National Trust do the same and many other private gardens, adventure parks we went to with our grandchildren, cinemas. Just ask when booking. I hope you get to see many great shows whilst your wife is able.

I agree with NannaB. We got into loads of events, with me going free. Even the Rugby World Cup Final at Twickenham all those years ago! You have to ask for disabled seats, but they are fine, always good views and plenty of room for the wheelchair.

Get out there and enjoy!

Sending big hug and much love

As well as theatre options There is also lots of museums and galleries that have free disabled parking. Don’t forget with a blue badge you can also register for congestion charging exemption. Took me ages to realise all this and it makes a huge difference

Sorry, I thought you were in Uk, when you were talking about the West End shows. The only way you can find out, is to ask! People can only say no, if it's not available.

As Tippy as said, there are lots of different ways that will help get your wife out, it's just a case of finding out what's on offer where you live.

Best of luck.

Lots of love

You can also get free carer's seat at most cinemas. Costs £5 for an annual card. Not sure of the name of the website but should be easy to find.
