Just getting up and the phone rings - at that time when you think "oh no what have the carers walked into this morning" or "it must be the Duty Manager at the sheltered housing telling me something happened overnight", but no it was a very nice lady wanting the local garage. I don't think she quite got how it wasn't a problem at all to get a wrong number that early in the morning. Heart rate back to normal now :).

Adrenaline rush
Oh, I know that feeling so well!
Any early morning phone call always has me wondering who is on the floor / stuck somewhere / ill / waiting for an ambulance / being taken to hospital.
On those occasions when it's not, it is always such a relief, especially when it means I don't have to rush out without having breakfast again. The joys of being a carer that is living separately from their LO.
Ditto! Been there, done that... hate it when that happens!
Hi AJK2001!
Stress is one of the caregiver's greatest enemies.
Combat stress is one of the (very difficult) tasks of the caregiver.
Hugs and luck.

Oh my that is awful, when did you find out? Was it when you got to the hospital and thought that's not my Mum, or did the home realise before? I should think a large glass of something was needed for that one.
