Bad day.....but maybe some hope for a chat

Hi everyone not such a good day today...nan is struggling quite a lot with another chest infection, the staff are doing all they can and she’s started antibiotics so we shall see how we go. On a more positive note we’ve found a fab app for the iPad which allows you to install a giant keyboard....she was too tired to try it again but hoping she’ll be able to try and type a few words out so we can have some form of a little chat together xx

The good thing here is that you are visiting, spending time, showing her you love her. Whether she uses the app or not, even whether she communicates or not - she knows you are there and that she is valued by you such that you spend time and try to do these things for her.

I’m dreading my dad getting another chest infection as he doesn’t have the strength to cough up his phelgm and struggles to breath.

I’m full of a cold now and hope I haven’t passed it on.
