Do you agree with info from different PSP associations on line saying that PSP affect mostly men?

I don't know - sorry.

However I would say that if it affects the one you love it is a 100% thing.

Please don't take this as me being rude... I just have no idea.

Best to you

Kevin

Sorry - I re-edited in case you saw my post as rude.

It's a damned illness for all involved.

Best

I've read more on CBD than PSP though they are very similar. And some sites say there is a SLIGHTLY higher incidence of cbd in women than men. I gather not enough to be "statistically significant" .

Cheers to you :-)

Hi Suzanne

I personally do not agree that it is mostly men, but women have to keep going as best they can!! My husband will not accept that there is anything wrong with me!! He just puts his head In the sand and still expects me to do everything.

Thank you for your reply. I guess there are no boundaries for men denial. My husband has PSP and does not want to talk about. I am the one dealing with all his symptoms/problems. Here in Canada we have this expression: "men's selective hearing".

Take care, Suzanne

Hi Suzanne;

Yes,I know what you mean. However, I am the one suffering PSP and my husband is the one in denial. I try to do the best I can but it is very difficult!! I went to see the "falls team" this morning, and my husband came with me. I was a bit of a waste of time!!!

How exasperating that must be! Hasnt your husband read anything about PSP? Or is it all just too scary for him to contemplate? Do you have adult children who can bring him around?

Often the woman is the one who "does" around the house and he will need to prepare for the day when you need all the help (may that day be far away 🙏)

..and the falls team was no help either?

You need a big Hug!!
