Hi Sonika, if i'm not mistaken, "PSomani" ( healthunlocked.com/user/pso... ) on this forum is from Delhi ( caregiver for his mom with PSP ). If you DM him, he might be able to guide you.

Unfortunately, PSP is a "progressively degenerative" condition & the options are limited.

If your mom has swallowing issues, consult a multi-disciplinary team of : Neurologist (specializing in movement disorder family of ailments such as PSP/CBD), Speech & Swallow Therapist, ENT.

Most patients, after swallowing food / pureed' food becomes almost impossible without choking, are suggested to go for PEG tube feeding.

Personally, i'm from Mumbai (Bombay), India. Cared for my mom with PSP for 4 Yrs. Lost the battle last month. Feel free to DM if you need any PSP references in Mumbai or any PSP questions.

Hi,

My 81 yr old dad has been diagnosed 6 months back as having PSP during an OPD visit by

a doctor at Jupiter Hospital (Thane). Previously we had

thought he was suffering from PD for the past 5-6 yrs.

By now he has lost most mobility, voice and feeding is also getting to be a challenge.

I saw your post above and was wondering if I can contact you to know of

your experiences dealing with your mom and PSP. Thanks
