Aspiration pneumonia

Hi all,

So I'm still in London and whilst here my dad hasn't improved. It's been a bit of a farce but it's finally been confirmed that he has aspiration pneumonia.

As per his wishes he is not being transferred to hospital, or being actively treated. The last I heard the manager of the nursing home was trying to get a prescription for something to dry up the secretions but I don't know any more than that.

So naturally I can't sleep and I'm counting down the hours until I can get back home. I will keep you posted when I finally see him x

Hugs Martha,

It's so stressful being away from the loved one when they aren't well. It's bad enough feeling out of control with this disease - having things "go off" when you have to be away, just ties you up in knots :-(

Hugs, XX

Anne G.
