Falling forward

I have only fallen backwards, and mostly on my bottom which can be painful maybe it’s the way your leaning when you go down. But I do have to say I have almost fallen forward, but lucky for me I caught my self. I fell 3 X in one week and was out of work for 7 weeks
Be careful.
Sarah my husband always fell backwards and has for the last 7 years.
Mum only falls backwards if she misses the bed, falls are always forward.
My mom has always fallen forward. We need to be extremely careful because she still tries to fix her sitting and falls forwards. She tries to pick something and she leans forward with lots of momentum, hence her falling. I just bought a belt for her chair because her leaning is more pronounced now, and more dangerous.
I also wondered if she was a weird case... They say every patient is different from other. Hope this helps
Ana has she being diagnosed? Mum has always gone forwards to and am starting to question her symptoms? Having said that she has everything else.
She has a walker but won't use it but I will keep nagging her. Thanks for your response xx
Sarah1972, she was dx with PSP three years ago. All the classic symptoms you can find, she's got them. The face and uninterested look. The difficulty at swallowing, etc. She can't walk now. She had a walker, but she didn't use it long, she felt afraid of falling because se was leaning forward, so we bought her a chair and she felt way better. Never was able to drive it herself, her symptoms keep deteriorating very rapidly, her hands starting failing very soon and as she was leaning forward, therefore someone has to be with her. We have someone who sit with her all day, so she won't fall. Maybe you shouldn't try to force your mom to use the walker, ask her what she really feels about it, maybe she doesn't feel secure. Good luck
I want you to know that I also have fallen while picking something up. I had a Physical Therapist give a pair of tongues there light weight about 12”long and then I was also given one of those grab tools to pick up other objects that one I can even pick up the remote control. They work great. I think you might find them at a Dollar Store. Just thought they may help your mother
My dad nearly always seems to fall forwards unless he is getting up from the chair and he sometimes falls backwards back onto the chair xx
My husband has CBD and used to fall forward regularly
Forwards, backwards and sideways with bobble wobbles (near falls) regularly. Fortunately nothing too serious... yet.
Yes ..my wife "leans" forward as she walks and generally would fall forward (and has) if I weren't there to catch her . Her weak side (right) is also a sideway direction she has fallen ...She has never had the inclination to fall backwards .I have been told that this susceptibility is not uncommon. You should tell your Neuro people of that trait as all info concerning this disease is being gathered Wishing U the best ...jeff
Yes, my wife falls forward most of the time. She tends to fall back into chairs and couches, but those are mostly planned. But when walking, with or without her Rollator, she frequently falls forward.
Everywhich way here!!!!! Jack is still managing the stairs - I think bcz he hs something to hold onto And he can only be doing that one thing!!!! I.e. Not turning on a light or turning a corner. We do have a couple of obstacles underfoot and we've been saying zippity do dah over them(doorway things)~ and we count the steps - I've tryed singing, as some ssuggested , but, we had already established the counting routine. I can tell what kind of day it is by the way he counts - with the steps or haphazzardly☺️☺️
I have CBD and always fall forwards.
