Living in South Africa I would dearly like to meet some one on this site that I could visit
There was a woman named Vissie but she hasn't replied.she lives in Pretoria South Africa.if any of you know her or any South Africans please mention me .
There is no support group here and I can't believe that Barry is the only PSP suffer in this country. Much appreciated in advance.

Hi, you are not the only one going through PSP in South Africa. Although I live in the UK, we did spend a lot of time in SA. The first doctor, apart from Steve's consultant, that had ever heard of PSP was our GP in Franshhoek. He made Steve's final years bearable, as we were able to travel to our house, knowing we would have better support than we had at home in England.
I don't know where you are, but I know one of our members here, lives in Jo'burg. Unfortunately her husband has lost his battle, but I know she still reads occassionally. Hopefully she will read your post.
I'm in South Africa, living in Jhb. As Heady mentioned, I lost my hubby almost 6 months ago. Besides me, there is a lady in the Cape, who's husband has PSP, and I am in touch with another 2 people (1 in Pta and 1 in Jhb) who have walked this path too. More than happy to chat or if you need some help? PM your number and let's connect. I only found the other South African PSP'ers after we'd already been dealing with PSP on our own for over 4 years, so I know how it can feel if you think you are the only one. But you definitely are not!
