Well Archie is back in hospital again thought it was too good to be true at least 6 weeks at home

The lovely pressure again telling these hospital idiots what's what with him

The carers have been great as they are with me too

The wait now to see what they are going to do

It's wrong isn't it, knowing your way around a hospital, there should be laws against it.

Sending big hugs and much love

Lots of love

I remember reading about a man who wore a white coat and was around the hospital so long that every one knew him. He went into Theatre and no-one cottoned on for ages ! He was jailed in the end !!!

Hahaha ...He probably made as accurate of diagnosis as the real ones did,....I actually watched a movie with DiCaprio, Catch me if you Can.....who portrayed a hospital dr....can't remember why but it took a while for others to catch him...? I'll have to rewatch.....do you concur? ;)

I agree about diagnosis but not so comfortable with him removing my appendix !!!!

As long as you don't try to operate you could probably wander round a hospital for months - - -

If you don't die of MRSA Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus ...usually found amongst those who work or are in hospital too long....

Why did he do it anyway...I can't remember movie....

doglington profile image
doglington in reply toabirke

It wasn't a movie. It was a real case in England. He had always wanted to be a doctor !!

abirke profile image
abirke in reply todoglington

Aye! it was a movie but it was based on a real case in England!!!!whoa!!!

abirke profile image
abirke in reply toabirke

You have to watch it

Catch Me If You Can....I think it was early 2000s maybe 2010....

doglington profile image
doglington in reply toabirke

Just looked it up. The movie was based on an American who pretended to be a doctor, lawyer and pilot - before he was 21 !!

There must be lots of these imposters. Come to think of it that explains a lot !!

I am so sorry that Archie is back in hospital. Poor him and poor you. It's dreadful when you almost have to be on guard in a hospital? I remember that feeling of being totally on edge because nobody knew what was wrong and nobody appeared to care!

Lots of love and hugs and keep in touch.

That's a terrible thought.. But true in a lot of cases. Will I care and pray for Archie. May the God over all bring hope and peace to both of your hearts. May he give you new strength to carry on. In Jesus precious name Amen Jenny

I got so tired of telling ER doctors and doctors dad normally doesn't see what is wrong I finally found a Emergency Medical form and filled it out. I put it in a folder and hand it to the ambulance staff to take with him. I follow behind but sometimes they are at ER before I am, wonders of flashing lights I guess. Least this way the ER staff has a basic idea of what they are dealing with till I get there.

Ron

PS: also very useful for when I am out and another carer/aide is here with dad. If something were to happen the aide can just hand the paperwork to EMTs.

Hi dadhelper

I agree with you we have an emergency care plan which Matron did so that goes with him Regarding getting there after ambulance I always get before them I think they must take the scenic route

I feel hospital staff do not revive the tuition to cope with these rare diseases. When my Barry was in hospital twice and nursing home twice I discharged him. 4 times the Hospital was appalled with me. But I have done a better job on my own at home. Nursing is a gift ... you are born a nurse and not one of them were.

Suebatt in reply toAlthea-c

I agree Althea-c

They should put them on same ward when they are in and out all the time at least you don't have to go through with the same motions all the time
