Protective measures

Has anyone got any ideas for protecting the corners of walls or doorways? Ours are all chipped and scratched due to wheelchair damage. I have put up with it for several years, but would like to have some areas redecorated and don't want to have it done, only to find it damaged soon after. Any ideas would be appreciated. X

I just saw something fro corners the other day on line, they are plastic corner covers. I think you can just place them and secure them with some double sided tape at the top and bottom so they wont cause any damage. They are called lexan corner guard...hope this helps

Perhaps I ought to start up a wheelchair driving school. My house is just the same. Another thing nobody teaches you.

Lots of love

So true I feel like I am a chariot driver in Ben Hur, the movie, and the walls are the enemies that I must rip in to to conquer!

I asked my husband who has psp and he made me laugh his answer was to take your driving test again. Laughter is still there even with this horrible desease.

I used to be quite house proud too! PSP certainly makes one get the priorities right! Sending love Heady. Glad you are still there for us. X

I'm just planning on fixing it all later. For now, I just don't care!

Yep do that....fixing as you go equals refixing later on!

My walls are the same . John has a battery operated wheelchair but as his eyes are so bad he cannot judge where the walls are very well. I used to be concerned about it but now I just think it can be fixed later. Somehow it doesn't seem very important now

I don't know , In fact, I would like to know this too. Though I still have the holes in my walls due to fear of someone falling into the newly fixed wall! We have fixed many a thing only to have them "unfixed" soon after.... I will be reading along with you to find answers to this querry

I have two side tables that have been glued back together three times before being thrown out, broken fire guard , ornaments , toilet seat, chairs and many other things. PSP is certainly a good teacher for learning that material things don't matter.X

The Occupational Therapist will order them for you if you are in the UK. Ask your doctor or Parkinson's nurse to get an OC to visit you. They will assess what your needs are . Hope this helps. X
