New to geoup

Hi I'm new to the group too. My mum has CBD and is now in a nursing home. She seems to have declined rapidly over the past couple of weeks and is now mainly bed bound.

I'm so sorry your mum has this awful disease. Welcome to the site. It sounds as if your mum has been ill for some time so you may have the answer to some of our questions. If not, I hope you find the site as helpful and comforting as I have.

Hi my husband also has CBD he also has declined rapidly over the last few months he is now bed bound but he is still at home his legs are now stuck in the fetal position and he is in terrible pain.

My mum was only diagnosed in January whilst in hospital and a visiting specialist from the neuro centre in Walton visited her. Up until then they thought it was vascular dementia even though it was her co-ordination skills that were declining. Unfortunately mum never came home as her needs became to great. The nursing home is brilliant but it is a truly horrendous disease. I have also realised after meeting several doctors who have been called out to see mum that they don't know much about CBD.
