talking in his sleep

Last night my husband was talking in his sleep.....He has done this many times before but this is the 2d time he was fully articulate. No slurred speech or inability to control tone. It was so weird that a little while later I started a conversation with him in his sleep to witness that what I had heard was real. It was. granted everything else dealing with his psp has also reduced (less falling, shuffling of feet etc.) but this was totally normal again.

Has anyone ever experienced this reversal. and how can he have such clear speech during sleep and practically incomprehensible speech while awake. this disorder is neurological not psychological.....

Confused,

AVB

Amazing! Has his medication changed? If so, what is it? I want some for my husband.

Make the most of these good times; we know how quickly things can change. If my husband started talking normally, I think I would record it as I sometimes have a job to remember what he sounded like.

Long may this last.

Aunt Bev talks just as well all the time when she is sleeping , I talked to her doctor about how she talks so clearly when she is a sleep and since it is her subconcious mind taking over when she is asleep I was thinking about having her hipmatized to see if we could trick her subconcious mind to work when she is awake worth a try its just so strange how well she talks in her sleep at this point we will try anything.

Interesting....Where is the subconscious 'located', in the brain, the frontal lobe or temporal...? Things to think about I'll be back....thanks for writing

Happy FD, Jill1 I am sure youve read everybodys fair share of PSP info. But again Curepsp.com is good, though more for the layman...it might give you places elsewhere to go. Have you ever been in a study? I would like to encourage Bruce to go into one as his musculature is still strong and dementia is minimal. Behavior is also semi normal except for apathy...though maybe I am just used to this...more if his character than a symptom hahaha

Sorry you are feeling down, Jill. That's not fair - you are so good at cheering us up! Maybe we need to schedule another party. My busy season at work is about to be done, maybe this week, praise be, and I will be in the mood for a bit of fizz. Are you listening to any particular music these days? Love and hugs, EC
