WONDERFUL! I am so pleased for you. You absolutely SHOULD get CHC, . I am so glad the system worked for you the way it should. Enjoy your wine. You very much deserve it.
I'm so very pleased for you Jill, I've admired your spirit for quite a while and anyone with PSP doesn't need the additional worry of how to afford/access the help you need. Well done to you and the hospice. Kind regards, Jerry.
My mother-in law has just been informed that she has been successful in obtaining CHC funding. As a health care professional I found the whole 5 hour assessment a gruelling and emotional process. Subsequently I fully understand your happiness and I will certainly be toasting you tonight with a glass of red
hi Janeymac . I just picked up this thread on CHC ,
we have been having carers for two years night and morning . I do everything else for my husband . I am 78 . I hoist do the lot . 24 hrs .
aftet a very long wait have had a visit from a social worker who arranged for District nurse to come and assess John.
I had already made some notes on how things were for us both . I write it down because when I start to explain I feel as if I am making things up . I am not .
the nurse visited yesterday unexpectedly which was good . o had been worried that I would say the wrong thing , I didn't have a chance to get het up about them coming.
luckily John was having one of his bad days . normally when someone like that comes it's when he is having one of his better days ,
john is so unpredictable and changes at the drop of a hat . From wide awake to not being able to even open his mouth .
She was brilliant . Her father in law had had the same illness and had been very like how John is .
she told me she was going to try for CHC for us ,, she wants to look after both of us .
I am not holding my breath because like she said it's not down to her but to the panel . I will meet that oath when it comes .
she has The Patkinsons nurse e mail and GP and I know they will support us .
You say it's not an easy process , can u tell me who els will be on the team to agree .
ok jill good luck to you matey and have as drop for me as well yesterday I started on madopa I though I would give it a try I ask the dr first and he agreed it was worth a try so there you are mate see yer reg peter jones queensland Australia psp take care mate
