My brother is 59 diagnosed with PSP 2012. Complaining of leg being dead. Is this the start of the walking problems?
Cant really tell, but many patients have bilateral weakness and ridigity and poor balance which starts the wlaking problems. I would suggest seeing a GP or neurologist as this sounds like something else
Thank for your reply
My mother has this but has not formally been diagnosed with psp. She is often in a lot of pain with this and it has affected her mobility
Please check with curepsp.org you could find tips there, regards,Rollie
Since PSP is NOT a one-size-fits-all disease it is hard to respond to you. Some patients have symptoms others never have. I've logged 23 symptoms reported by others with PSP that my wife never had, thank God. The speed is different in individuals. The progression can slow then accelerate in a patient. Short answer on most things is "depends on the individual". That, to me, is the most frustrating part of this PSP disease. Jimbo
