Going to miss you mum
Cherish and smile at the good times you shared with your Mum.
And remember - Take care of yourself - for you have been on an exhausting journey with PSP and it takes time to grieve and heal.

Dear Blackcushion, I'm very sorry for your loss. Please let the knowledge that you were there to care for her, that she was able to stay at home and that her passing was peaceful comfort you. You did well, and so did she to raise such a loving daughter. Take care of yourself now. Peace and love, Easterncedar
Hi Blackcushion, sorry to hear that your Mum has died. She is finally at peace and away from this evil disease. You just have one battle left to fight, getting used to life with out your mother. There will be no guilt, as you did everything you could for her. Be proud of yourself, that you enabled your Mum to die peacefully at home, in your care. Not many people achieve that!
Remember the same mantra applies now as it did during her journey with PSP, "one day at a time". Give yourself time to grieve and come to terms with everything that you have gone through. My love and thoughts are with you.
Lots of love
Heady
Dear Blackcushion,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your Mum. My own dear Mum passed away 2 weeks ago and nothing quite prepares you for it, however much you are expecting it. I'm glad you were able to be with her and the end was peaceful. Sending much love x
I'm so sorry to hear this. Another beautiful person taken so soon by this disease. Your mum is at peace now, no more PSP. Remember and treasure all the good times and happy days. And you were there for her, you did your best, so be proud. Sending love and strength to you and your family xxx
I am really sorry for your loss but you sound like a wonderful daughter and I am sure your Mum knew and appreciated everything you did for her and especially that you managed to keep her at home and she passed peacefully with you by her side. I lost my dear husband 6 months ago to PSP and I managed to keep him at home and I was there when he passed it was a hard long fight for him and it is still so for me now and six months on I still feel lost without him but I am beginning to heal. I was just so pleased to see him free from the awful time he had been through but sad for myself to loose him. Take care of yourself now and your brothers love and best wishes to you all.
Sorry to hear of the sad loss of your mother. I'm sure she was comforted by being at home in familiar and loving surroundings. Take care as you and your family deal with losing your lovely mum.

Blackcushion, I share your grief having lost my wife May 4th this year. I'm still in anguish and doubt I will ever be exactly the same person again. Remember the good times with your mum and there were many I'm sure. For my wife's memorial service I created a DVD of photos backed up with music to show at the service. It runs about ten minutes but is as representative an example of who she was. She loved the beach so there are beach photos in the video. She loved her work and those photos are in, including her retirement party photos. She loved the family so there are photos of them with her. There were a few photos of her making a funny face or in a funny situation sometimes laughing. The video is on YouTube so that those unable to make the service can view it. I've asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to CurePSP organization (USA). Now it is time to care for yourself and your brothers in the days ahead. Stay strong and remember the good times. So sorry to hear that. As everyone said, take pride that you cared for her the way you did and have no regrets. This is something I am preparing for and no doubt experiencing the same pain.
I am so sorry to hear about your mam. My mother is very sick now and i think only has about a week.maybe two.
Take care. I am glad it was a peaceful end for her.
