PSA not really dropping

A little frustrated here. Last October I was treated for Prostate Cancer with a PSA of 10 15 months ago. last April it dropped to 3.55 which was good. Then it bounced to 5.41, which can occur, and then dropped back to 3.65 which was good. But now it has gone back up to 4.14 so it seems to being handing up at 4. I left a message for my RO, but admit to being a little concerned. I think it should be dropping faster. Any encouraging words?

The annoying thing about radiation is that bounces do occur and always provoke anxiety. Actually, bounces predict a good long-lasting response. It took me about 4 years until my PSA settled down to 0.1, where it has stayed for 7 years so far.

Learn to love your bounces!

Great article Allen. I knew that bounces were good but I was thinking that it bounces when you get near the nadir. But from that article it implies that it can take longer to reach the nadir if you bounce and the results are actually better. Thanks for the "pep talk." I talked to my awesome RO and he said to relax. We will take a PSA in 3 months and go from there. I have plenty of other stuff to worry about right now.
