Interpreting PSA scores

I recently got my latest PSA scores, but won't see my doctor until next week sometime. Can anyone tell me what's relation ship between PSA Total, PSA Free, and PSA % Free? Should they be going down or up vis-a-vis last test?

Thanks for any wisdom.

Ideally, PSA total should not be going up. % free PSA should be over 10%. But lots of benign causes can affect them. Prostatee Health Index (PHI) is a better test.

My PSA Total went up from 6.2 to 6.9. Is that significant?

My PSA% Free is 7%.

Any thoughts?

Ask for PHI

Have you had a digital rectal examination? If you are in the U.K. you should be referred to a consultant for investigation with those levels.
