I was diagnosed 13 years ago with stage IV Gleason 7. Every so often my PSA elevated and I am placed back on an anti-androgen. In this case Lupron and Casodex. Treatment path: Lupron, seeds and radiation.
Now my PSA is elevating very fast with no indication of metastasis. My oncologist is putting me on Apalutamide/Erleada.
I am curious if anyone has taken this med, how it’s working and if you are experiencing any side effects?
Happy and Healthy 2019.

I understand what you are going through. I am 73 years old and 11 years ago I started treatment for PCa. Yesterday I had my third PSA that was 0.06 and I have been off of cancer therapy now for 9 months. However, I now have kidney disease, diabetes, heart diseases, and urinary incontinence. I am a happy man. Finding a man and having sex is no longer my ideal in life. I sing in the Orlando Gay Chorus, work at the Joy MCC Church, go to 12 step meetings and sponsor others. I stay busy and have other interests than "plugging in" if you know what I mean. I have had 72 radiations and 6 1/2 years of Lupron (Eligard - generic). All I can tell you is to just keep truckin'.
My question is: when were you diagnosed with grade IV where were your metastases? You fill me with hope, we are just starting this path. Is not easy. Regards.
