Bitter kola for ED?

Has anyone here tried bitter kola nuts as an aid to erectile function? One of my African friends recommends it. It's evidently very popular in Nigeria and other West African countries. I can buy the nuts here at my local African market (lots of immigration from West Africa to here, so there are such markets).

So far the results are a little mixed but encouraging--I'll post more when I know for sure--they're really an African thing (until now) and I have an African friend (straight but open) who swears by them, and another African friend who assures me they're a regular thing back home. I'll bet they become more popular with the rest of us as the word gets around. Partly because I speak French I'm lucky to have a number of African friends.

to anyone following this--I've given upon the bitter kola for the time being, didn't seem to do too much--but I have discovered (I think) that the generic Viagra I was using doesn't seem to be as good as the old Viagra, which was why I was trying the bitter kola in the first place--I've posted some questions about generic quality in a new post--Dreamweaverman and Davikew, hope you're both doing well (and have less snow than us suffering folks in MN)
