As usual the press blows up reality to sell papers or improve their ratings. These cancer fighting pills are inhibitors of some genes that are still very much in early (still bench science) study. The pronouncement of the pill to cure or prevent cancer is still very much science fiction.

The headline seems a bit of a stretch, especially since this was a study in mice and not in humans. You can bet that if this is proven to be effective, it will be on the front page of the New York Times. Hope so.

That is...if big pharma could stand to make as much money as they are currently making with standardized treatments. Nothing gets approved if there's no $$$ in it. We are at the mercy of med tech corporations and the giant pharma companies. Think they want to lose a trillion dollar industry to some cure that would end the profit.

What about the polio vaccine? Is there any information on this? I think Jimmy Carter has used it and is now cancer-free. It makes sense to fight cancer with your own immune system....

Jimmy Carter was saved by Keytruda. Not a vaccine

I was in a trial using keytruda and xofigo. It didn't work...at all. And my cancer was expressing the correct receptors. All I got out of it was a burned out thyroid and modified sensory sense of taste. Everything tastes bitter now. Ironic yes
