The sleeve/sling is good for mild to moderate incontinence at most. Be honest with yourself about whether you fit that description. Otherwise you may well be sold a sleeve with false promises that it will solve the SUI, just as the urologist sells RP with the assurance it won’t result in it.

I have a AUS (artificial urinary sphincter) This is what you want if you leak a good deal and/or are using more than a few pads a day (generally). If you leak only when putting considerable pressure on the perineum etc that is considered light SUI also. Know the difference well before deciding.

The AUS has high success rates for good reason. Not perfect but very close, and super easy to use. Yes it’s another surgery but it works well in cases where the sling and other ‘minimally invasive’ procedures fail.

Hopefully you are in that mild to moderate range, but again assess yourself honestly so you don’t choose something that can’t do the job.
