FDA-approved for high risk patients. Medicare hasn't yet agreed to cover, but I've heard some private insurance has. Get pre-authorization.

Thanks for that info. Good to know. I have 5 or 6 bone met spots; in pelvis, 2 ribs and fibula and and or tibula areas, but my last Onc Doc told me that I would not need another scan until my PSA rose above undetectable(spread is said to be dormant currently) or I if felt any flare up of pain in those mets. Last scan was in 2015. I know from your info that micromets are undetectable, but is it true that I should wait for another scan? Some folks here seem to get yearly scans. I know it really depends if insurance would cover costs in my case. (not a Branson or

Bezos!) Thanks again for all your info, I get more from you than the Docs.

It may be wiser to stick with the Bone scan/CT for you so you have a baseline to compare it to. I'm not sure what value a more sensitive scan would have for you.
