Pathology Report is in but I have not seen the Consultant yet. The conclusion of the report says....Margins: Clear in the paraffin sections: intra-operative sections having shown a focally positive margin; and additional tissue from the right side clear of tumour.
Should the focally positive margin give me cause for concern going forward???

I'm so happy to see he took intra-operative sections. That is unfortunately too rare. It means he took progressively wider cuttings until he was sure he got it all. No need for concern, just get an ultrasensitive PSA test every 3 months.
Thanks Tall_Allen, I really value your comments. Yes the Surgeon sat with a pathologist in the operating room and did frozen section analysis while I was still under. My conversation the next day, although hazy was that he knew the margins were close so took a 5mmx4mmx3mm section of nerves immediately beyond this point and the pathologist confirmed all clear. How cool is that??? 3 weeks past surgery and can get an erection!! Thanks for putting my mind at rest. I have a consultation on Saturday so is there anything I should be asking at this point_??
Keep working that erection! Pumping may prevent size loss. Just make sure you get an ultrasensitive PSA test (lowest reading 0.01) starting 3 months post-prostatectomy.
