am I wrong or expecting to much...

I have completed my Radio theropy 3 months ago and got my MRI and Scan a month ago..

I have heard nothing for Doctors or nurse who is supossed to be my main Friendly contact..

So I phone her to be told Doctors busy but she will try and contact... She phone to say Doctors discussing cases 11/03 but now still no contact from anyone.... Called my doctor and he tried to contact them but could not, so sent letter 14/03.... He did say that it looks like my Radio theropy did not work and the cancer has spread within the same area and not outside it.... I am worried and angry that after a month no one has contacted me not even my nurse and my cancer is still there... What do you guys think... This is NHS Scotland

I don't know how medicine works in Scotland but here in the US I have fired a few doctors during my journey with this disease. I would fire this doctor.

Here in the US i would register a formal complaint with the hospital.... All the large health care organizations are metric-driven. And it's kind of known here that those who complain or demand get better and more responsive treatment. that being said after my surgery my doctor's office basically said that they didn't want to hear from me for three months. The nurse practitioner was relatively responsive in responding to emails. I suppose the upside to this is because I had a good surgeon who was in high demand that if he weren't so focused on moving patients through so quickly I may not have gotten the chance to have him be my surgeon. be demanding and don't lower your expectations but don't be rude or confrontational with them. But don't sit by idly this is your health.
