Hi, Yes, I can share my experience with Proton Therapy . In February I will begin my tenth year since my Proton Therapy, so I can relate to you my side effects. I was seventy-two when I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer. Fortunately I was informed about a support group that I joined to help inform me more about the disease and provide me with unbiased information. This action allowed me to meet men who were had had various treatments and were happy to relate their outcomes after treatments. I talked with many men. The only men who did not have problems with "side effects " were men who had Proton Beam radiation. After my treatments my PSA dropped to 0.047. In six months it rose to 0.057 and remained at that level until two years ago when it rose to 0.070 where it still is today.

I am happy to tell you that I have had zero side effects! I remain in contact with men who went through treatments with me who have the same outcomes.

My wife and I thank God for every day for making the decision to have Proton Beam radiation.

I hope this helps you with your decision

Jim
