How scared and exciting is to give birth? I have two weeks left to go into a labor. A bit nervous.

WOW this probably feels like the longest 2weeks of your life. & yes it's very nurve wracking just thinking about giving birth. About 2-3wks before i gave birth to my son 4 years ago i would worry about absolutely everything "from who do i want in the room, who is going to cut the cord & everything"

But ultimately you'll be FINE!

I am felling more relax now, thank you. What about my hospital bag, do you think is time to make it ready?? I am first time mum to be,

DEFINETELY I thought you would have your bag half packed "at least" by now.

OMG start as soon as you can. Anything can happen from this moment on because your baby is fully developed & ready to go at 2wks left.

The best thing to do is not over-think the packing process too much, all you really need is about 2 baby sleepsuits, 2/3 baby vests "just in case the hosital keep you & baby in hospital a bit longer" Nappies"obviously" & a change of clothes for yourself.

xx

Obviously I have baby's clothes and mine in the cupboard, but not yet in the bag, by tomorrow they will be ready just to go. You look like you have experience, nice to talk to you, I felt alone, and stressful. Thank you xx

Its so exciting but even though its my second i'm nervous(due sunday!), i'd have your bag packed or at least some basics put together. I went into labour early with my first and sent my mum to get a few bits and it went horribly wrong(face scrub instead of showergel!, toothpaste but no tooth brush) So i have been a bit over prepared with a bag for me ready for weeks just put the baby bag together, again maybe an idea to pop a couple of different size baby grows in ie newborn/0-3 just incase as you never really know what size fits best.

Good luck and best advise i was given was the body knows what to do so just go with what feels right... and the midwifes really have seen it all before! your almost there :)

Hi there, I have 3 weeks to go. I'm very laid back about labour, maybe too laid back. ;) I'm planning to let it all just happen, allow myself to be scared if I get freaked out, allow myself to be excited, to cry, laugh, whatever emotion comes my way I will allow it and remember that everything will be ok. :) I am planning to labour alone, my choice, although my partner is very much on standby and will be there if I change my mind at any point, he just wants to do whatever will make me feel relaxed. I have haphazardly prepared my hospital bag. I didn't use a checklist as they freaked me out. I'm sure I don't need half the things on there. I've got my jim jams, dressing gown, toothbrush and toothpaste, must remember to pack pants though! Nursing bra, breast pads and maternity pads. Baby has some nappies a few sleep suits (2) some vests, hats & mits. I will wear the clothes to leave the hospital with what I arrive in I'm sure. I don't really care about how I look going in or out the hospital but will dress nicely for any visitors that might come. I think nerves are good to have... it really could begin at any point now for the both of us! I wish you every piece of luck with your labour and bringing a glorious new person into the world. :) xxx

Wow loving Babymother, how positive r u? Im 38 wks and feeling a little nervous. This is my 3rd but huge age gap so I cant really remember what it is like. I feel better already. I think it is best to focus on the excitement of what labour is bringing rather than pain aspect. Def know why girls were given this job hahaha imagine men (what they like with man flu? hahaha). Thanks ladies I'm feeling a lot Perkier now.

Don't forget your phone charger! Forget your birth plan (if you have one). The main thing to remember is enjoy it! Everything else can be sorted later. :) Good Luck. :D
