at my 8 week appt in 2 weeks time, will the midwife look for a heartbeat?

I only ask as i am currently considering a private early scan to settle my nerves a little bit

You will get a scan t twelve weeks to confirm all is well. Before this in my area I had a booking in appt with the midwife but she did not listen for the hb.

I have had a few private scans at ultra baby hey cost £75.00

ive bit the bullet and booked in for when my partner is home from the army and we have both been paid, plus the firm i have gone with offer a military discount just hope he remembers his Military Card

At your normal 8 week appt with the midwife they wouldn't look for it as it's too early but you will be able to hear it on your scan at 12 weeks, my midwife listened to my baby's heartbeat at 16 weeks for the first time, hope all goes well for you x
