What will happen in 28 week appt?

I will be 28+3 and what to expect from 28 week appt? Will there be a ferritin test?

As far as i know at this appointment your bump will be checked to measure your baby. Your blood pressure will be measured and test your urine for protien. And dicsuss pregnancy plans. Have you done blood tests for 28 weeks?

In an ideal world you should have had blood tested when you were booked in at 12 weeks. The 28 week blood test will look at your iron levels to rule out anemia.

In my area the 28 week appt is a home visit. Check urine, bp and measure baby and plot on chart. Talk through any worries or issues you have. If iron is low midwife will call asap to get you to pick up free prescription of iron tablets. If you dont hear assume all is well. During my pregnancies I have brought 'spatone' liquid iron you add to fruit juice . available in boots and non of the nasty side effects that iron tablets can cause xx
