It depends how much bleeding you are having, how much pain, if your passing clots?

When u have a miscarriage there is a lot of blood, pain and clots! I had one at 7.5 weeks.

was it red blood or brown blood?

If you were having a natural miscarriage then you would have been having to change your pad more than 4 times a day and it would have been bright red blood and heavier than a normal period and lasting for as long or longer than your period would be.

It was light, only needed 1 pad each day.blood was brown mostly with no clots. Today there has only been pink spots when wiping. I got a bfn this morning but i would only be 5 weeks 3 days so still early?

I really wouldn't worry then about it. I had that bleeding with my first it just sounds like old blood. I had a natural miscarriage before xmas at 4 weeks and had to change my pad more than 4 times in the day and then once in the night lasting more than 5 days. Keep your chin up and try not to worry about it.
