Hi all! I had emergency c- section with my first one cause i couldn't go to labour stayed at 3 cms, now i'm 18 wks pregnant and at my 16 wks appointment i've been offered to wait till last minute for normal delivery and if it doesn't happen again go to c-section without being induced.and all notes are taken on my yellow book.and then after i've done a search and found out it's not healthy having normal birth after cesarian now i want to change my birth plan and want to have my op date so i can book my maternity leave and my parents flight tickets, but my next appointment is in April and i have to see midwife and arrange everything before that.do you think i'll be able to see a midwife without appointment\?will they see me anytime as i wish and change it for me and give me date? thanks xx

In my area they don't normally give you an exact date for a planned section until a few weeks beforehand. I had an emergency section then went for the planned section at 39 weeks has i hadn't gone into labour by myself. My date was booked roughly around my 36 week.mark. I am currently 29+1 with my third and i know roughly i will have.my section around the 4th April, unless baby decides to make an appearance by himself but i doubt that. You can always see if the midwife will see you beforehand and talk it through with her.
Yes, your midwife will give you an appointment or at least talk over the phone, And if a c section is what you want they will let you have one. Good Luck
I believe a planned section is now generally done at 39weeks, it used to b 38 but everyone I know of recently is 39 unless u go into labour b4 hand.
I'm 10 weeks and after having my 3 yo by emergency, am 99.9 % ill go in for elective. at my booking appointment my midwife didn't even ask my thoughts, just that I would c a doc at about 20 weeks when my options would b explained and if I hadn't made up my mind I would b see again at 30 odd weeks to give me time to decide. You have plenty of time to get ur plan in place.
All the best.
