Constant Sickness
use Sea- bands. They are available at boots.
I was writing and updating a blog on what to do with nauseau. And than I discovered sea-bands myself. They are magical. Not only it subsides my sickness, it helps me in being positive, happy and more active ! I love them.
Also at night try sleeping with a big square pillow reaching atleast few inches below the back of your shoulder. that would help the blood circulation and help you feel better - I am using a normal pillow on top of a big pillow so my head is further raised from my shoulder (helps me breath easy).
If at times you feel nauseau even with sea-bands on, try chewing on some cardomoms or orange candies.
Hope that help
I felt constantly sick for about 10 weeks. The things that helped me is avoiding foods that make you feel worse, sucking on barley sugar sweets, never having any empty stomach (nibbling on biscuits etc) and chewing on peppermint gum. I know it can be horrid and feels like it will never end but its a good sign feeling sick, your placenta is being made still by your body so its you that is nourishing your baby, after 12 weeks your placenta will take over and the hormone level will drop making you (hopefully) feel more normal. I found it hard to leave the house as i just felt awful and tired. So i stayed at home alot and had naps when i could (i have a 2 yr old) you just have to do whatever makes you feel better, eat what makes you feel better and keep your fluids up. It will get easier. All the best x
I have also suffered / suffering with sickness. I can't go on a car journey without having to stop to be sick. Well that's until i got sea bands. They are magic! I am now only sick a couple of times a week which is a massive improvement. Hope your feeling better soon. I've got my scan on Monday and Im really nervous x x
I really hope it does calm down after 12 weeks! Thank you again ladies. I will get some Barley sugar sweets too. I have the sea bands on but I am not really noticing a lot of difference. Perhaps I'll try another brand. It is also true they only last for 12 hours and the set I am wearing cost me £6.29!!! Good luck for your scan on Monday xxx.
Hi Melissa
I went to get some anti-sea sick bands from Tesco pharmacy and they accidentally sold me kids ones! I decided to give them a go (despite the fact they wre various shades of blue camoflage and probably a bit too tight) and they were fab. I wore the same pair from as soon as I got out of the shower until I went to bed each day from about 10 weeks until 14 weeks - when I finally decided to risk not wearing them. They cost about £8.
I agree with the ladies, keep eating and however much water you are drinking, drink more! I found that until I got the bands I was feeling so sick I didn't want to eat, but then I was so hungry I felt even more sick :o(
I hope it gets better soon xxx
