I had my 12 week scan on Thursday and was told that I was 13 weeks 3 days, which confuses me as that would make conception 3 days before my last period and it was a full period as well, now I'm worried incase the baby is too big for some reason like gestational diabetes.
With the anterior placenta, how much of the babies movements am I going to miss out on? I am concerned that I won't be able to keep an eye on the baby later in pregnancy. I also feel sorry for my husband incase he misses out on those bonding moments when the baby moves. I'm keeping my fingers crossed the placenta moves upwards!
Also the morning sickness has dropped off over the last couple of days and it's a little like loosing a comfort blanket reassuring me I'm pregnant! I know that's normal but it has put me on edge.
Sorry for the anxiety flooding through this question! I'm not normally a nervous wreck! First pregnancy after a long time ttc and work problems have made me a but on edge!

I think the dating scans are normally pretty accurate as in the early weeks all babies are the same size so that's how they're able to determine how far you are (all 12 week babies are roughly the same size, all 11 week babies are the same, etc). It could be that your last period was implantation bleeding - although they say this is meant to be a lot lighter than a normal period everybody is different aren't they. I had implantation bleeding with my first which although was not really heavy it wasn't 'a bit of streaky blood in discharge' (sorry for TMI) which some people have. I didn't know I was pregnant then so assumed it was my normal period but lighter.
With regards to the anterior placenta I had this also (although I was never actually told I just read it in the notes of a private 4D scan I paid for after having my baby which explained a lot). I could still feel the baby and my partner could feel and see my belly move. The kicks are just more cushioned so not as bad as some women suffer when they have footballer babies. It could still move anyway as when the baby grows they may push it out the way.
Hope this helps - I can only go by my experience. You may have your baby a week late and then you would have been right all along! Good luck with your pregnancy xx
Thanks for that, Im not too concerned about the actual date to be honest as I agree with what you say above, everyones different and maybe my period was slightly less than normal but I just didnt notice (although I have to admit I have a very heavy flow and I didnt notice a difference)
Im glad you and your partner could still feel some movements, as you say maybe its even a bonus if I have a budding beckham in there
Pregnancy is dated from the first day of your last menstrual period, not the date that conception actually took place. Sort of... The problem with this approach is that menstrual cycles vary in length, so to be able to compare apples with apples when talking about how far along women are, an adjustment needs to be made to account for this. Otherwise, two women who were supposedly both, say, 20 weeks pregnant, could be carrying fetuses of slightly different ages if you follow me. So if your dating scan indicates that your pregnancy started 3 days before the first day of your last menstrual period, this probably just means that you ovulated about 3 days earlier in your cycle than average, not that your baby is too big. This is well within the range of normal, and even if it wasn't, it wouldn't really matter. Having a funky cycle can mess with your fertility, but you're already pregnant, so that's a moot point Anyway, as n_z__s has already stated, dating scans are pretty accurate because fetuses develop at pretty much the same rate during the early stages of pregnancy, so it's not time to worry about the size of your baby just yet.
I also was told i have an interior placenta at my 12 week scan. I started feeling a rolling sensation when i was 16 weeks. At 18 weeks i felt little kicks and my husband properly felt kicks on monday. Im 20 weeks today. I feel baby about 4-6 times in 24 hours. Normally when i lye down. I dont know if my placenta has moved up (i have my scan on Monday) but even if your doesnt move up im sure you and your partner will experience lots of kicks, it may just be a little further on thats all. All the best x
