I’m 10 weeks pregnant and we had a private scan yesterday as the hospital couldn’t get me in until the beginning of January, which is more like week 14. The scan found a ‘very mild amount of fluid around the fetal head’ and has referred us to the Early Pregnancy Unit at the hospital. It wasn’t a diagnostic scan so the sonographer wouldn’t tell me anymore other than not to worry. They said the unit should call me today & if I don’t hear to call them. Has anyone else had this & will it be ok? I’m so worried.

hey! I haven’t heard of this before, but I know it may be hard but keep calm and wait to speak to them. I think the words “very mild” can be used to make you feel slightly better as it sounds more like a precaution more than anything.
I found in pregnancy, they check EVERYTHING which is amazing and you do feel look after (in my experience). So try and keep a positive, calm mind as it can in turn make you and bubba feel worse if you’re upset.
Hope all is well and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
My suggestion is to Google what they are looking for/may find at 10wk scan and go in with questions. In full transparency, any significant fluid they can see at this stage is not typically a good sign - it's why they do a scan around 10wks, to look for fluid like what you are describing.
Go back with lots of hope, but knowledge which will prepare you in case it's not what you hope. Take a supportive person with you if possible.
