Teething
Had she icky just started not eating solid food? If so it might be because she's teething . My 2 year old eats like a horse most of the time, but when teeth are coming she is much less likely to eat as much and she gets really cross about brushing her teeth. If she's never eating solids it might be something to bring up with your health visit at your 2 year review.
hi there, where we I work we run weaning courses. We inform parents that it takes a certain length of time before a baby will eat 3 meals a day plus couple of healthy snacks. We state that it takes a number of tries before a baby will accept a taste , so preference is key. We also recommend that baby is not give smooth pureed food for too long and it's best to introduce lumpy textured foods from almost the start . Babies have a gag reflex up till the age of 9 months . Her teething could impact on her eating solids, have you offered her finger food (baby led weaning), such as a floret of broccoli . This then allows her to control the intake of food . Which ever way your baby is having her milk (breast or formula) this will need to continue at roughly the same amount of intake as soon as she eats more solids the milk feeds will drop off. I hope this helps as teething will not cause your baby too much difficulty with eating solids.
