I’m hoping someone out there could give me some advice regarding progesterone support during a natural pregnancy!
I am 5 weeks pregnant (naturally) whereas my last two pregnancies (one which failed at 12 wks) was IVF and wanted to know if anyone has taken progesterone support for a neural pregnancy? I’m really anxious that something could go wrong having had MMC in the past and a bleed early on when pregnant with my son. So I’m just wondering if it’s worth trying seek some progesterone (cyclogest) to help the pregnancy along - but equally I don’t want it to do any harm either?! Is it possible you can take too much progesterone? I hope this makes sense and thank you in advance! Xx

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I had two missed miscarriages before my successful pregnancy. My son who is now 10 months old was the result of a natural conception but I took progesterone for 16 weeks into my pregnancy. He’s absolutely fine and so far meeting all his developmental milestones.
My GP prescribed progesterone (cyclogest) for me after I referred him to the revised NICE guidelines. I attach the link for you to look at and show it to GP if there’s any reluctance.
