Implantation bleeding or period?

Hi guys! So happy to have find this community. I truly need your opinion.

I had unprotected sex with my husband from 10 october-16 october, while 14th day was my ovulation day. The night of 25 october, after we had sex I realised a pink to bright brown discharging and it was really worrying for me because I have never had that during my 8 years relationship and being sexually active. This brown spot did not continue the next day (26th october) but it appeared today (27 october) too, a little bit more brown but still bright. I am two days before my period ( relating to *FLO *27th october will be my first day of period). Meanwhile, my husband is always sure that he acts correctly *pull out method*.

It is not like we do nt likes baby, but we think it is not the perfect moment in our lives to have one. I am so stressed and afraid right now. I dont know when to take a pregnancy test. The only ache I have is headache, which I have usually the most of the days, because of my busy work and schedule.

Any opinion?

If your period is due in 2 days an early pregnancy test would probably show you now if your pregnan, if you test with your first urine of the day as that's when your pregnancy hormone would be highest. The pull out method is not that effective or reliable for not getting pregnant. If you don't want to use any hormonal contraception you could try something like natural cycles where you take your temperature and use that to work out your basal temperature to show when your ovulating and fertile etc. It's a more accurate way than something like flo.

You should be able to take a test now and it would be reliable. Symptoms aren’t worth looking at because they’re very similar to period symptoms and not everyone even gets implantation bleeding and there could be a number of reasons for pink/brown discharge. Best take a test then it’s up to your husband to work out what to do. As seb9 says the pull out method is not reliable as a form of contraception but I get how if you’ve done it for 8 years and it’s worked it feels pretty reliable. Personally I wouldn’t have unprotected sex unless I was willing to possibly get pregnant. Time to go to the GP and explore your contraceptive options I think.
