IVF after baby

Tryint to plan the future and starting to look at IVF again. Do you know when you can start IVF again after a live birth? Baby was born by c section but I'm not breast feeding. I used all my embryos to get my LB so will be full cycle needed

Hi, we were told not to start trying for 12 months after my c section. We were back at the fertility clinic the day after my son turned 1 🙈

Thanks for the reply. Were you able to start the process before the full year eg do the scans and AMH blood tests etc and then start medication for EC after 12 months or wouldn't they even let you start the process?

We were lucky and had frozen embryos so for us tests were limited - just redoing STI swabs etc and then a scan to start. We didn’t do them before the 12 month deadline but I don’t see why they wouldn’t let you - especially if you’re at a private clinic. Ours was self funded but at an NHS hospital.

THe 12 months was what my obstetrician said they recommend for all c section births rather than being imposed by the fertility clinic so I’m sure they’d be happy to start tests etc sooner.
