When is it too early for the anatomy scan?

I will be travelling around 19-20 weeks gestation and am anxious to get the scan done before leaving for the trip. I am hoping to book my anatomy scan when I am 18 weeks+4 days (just before my flight) - is that too early? Has anyone had a full anatomy scan around this time?

When I went for my dating scan, even though I was already 11wks+2 days, I was told I was "too early" even though I thought the timeframe would be between 10-14 weeks... I finally got my dating scan done at 13 wks and worry I will be told to "come back later" again.

That sounds ok. According to NHS anomaly scan should happen between 18 and 21 weeks. It's actually hard to do when baby is bigger, so hopefully 18+4 won't be a problem. You should contact your midwife ASAP as getting a specific scan date can be difficult.Good luck!
