Hello I’ve just found out I’m pregnant with my second child, unexpected but really excited!
With my first it was very confusing because I’d been having periods as normal and only took the test because I’d passed out a few times and doctor had told me to take a test to “rule out” before I went in to find out the reason for passing out. Needless to say I was pregnant! Which we were very shocked about as if had regular periods! We went for dating scan and I was 17+4!!
So now with my second I’m wondering if they will send me for a scan straight away or wait until they think I’m around 12 weeks. My last period was 31st March so working it out from that I should be five weeks (I think, these timelines confuse me) but I’m just scared, how do I know I haven’t been having periods like the last time and I’m a lot further along?
I just don’t want to be waiting 7 weeks to have a scan and finding out I’m actually a lot further along again.
Sorry for the ramble!
Xxx

You could ask for earlier scan with my first it was same situation as yours periods every month but I too passed out few times and took test just to make sure when I had my scan I was 26 weeks pregnant I'm on my 5th pregnancy due anytime with inthe next 3 weeks my baby's are always early x
It’s so nice to know I’m not the only one it happened to, anytime I tell people they just look at me like how could you not know? I will ask if they don’t offer.
I get the same look lol but with this pregnancy I couldn't hide it from anyone as I started showing before 12 weeks getting annoyed with the "ain't you had that baby yet" comments 😠I'd defo ask for a scan x
Given your history I wouldn’t be surprised if they offered you a scan just to be sure on dates. I’ve got a few friends who had early scans as they were unsure about conception.
If you’re not offered one I’m sure you could insist on one, again due to your history.
