I'm just so anxious this is my first pregnancy and I'm having twins in about two weeks. Any advice on twin labor and delivery is welcomed but I'm opting for a vaginal delivery since I have no complications and my dr and midwife say it's okay

35 weeks pregnant with twins
I don't have twins but I am a twin and just wanted to mention my mum delivered us vaginally, one head first, one (me) breech with no problems for her or us. No forceps, no interventions. At 38 weeks. Hope your delivery goes smoothly xxx
Hi Lovetwins-123.I had my twins 11 years ago but I remember it like it was yesterday. I had got to 38 weeks and I was massive!!! The babies weren't moving as much, no surprise as they were running out of space. Spoke to my midwife and went to be monitored just in case. All was fine but they decided to induce me. 3 days later I went in for induction. They must have been pretty close to coming as it started of really easily. I had an epidural as it went from 0 to 100 really quickly. I felt this was encouraged and was quickly given. I could still feel when I needed to push and so my mum got the midwife. I was wheeled to theatre (just in case). 12 pushed twin one came, 30 mins later with 9 pushes twin 2 came. Ta-dah 2 beautiful baby girls. Twin one was 7lbs 4.5oz and twin 2 was 7lbs 10oz! No other intervention apart from the usual with induction. No tears and great support. I did feel that I was being watched by others because they liked having twins delivered. I felt a bit queasy because of the drip with the induction. I loved the experience. 11 years later I had the same midwife for my home birth with my baby.
All the best with your delivery. Enjoy every minute with your beautiful babies x
My twins are nearly 2, babies 3&4 for me. I had them via C-section as went into labour at 34+5 with both babies being breech, just about made it for a spinal block and section. I really wanted a natural labour as my first was a scary emergency c sec, my second was a much more relaxed VBAC but actually the C-section and recovery were not as bad as my first one as wasn’t as rushed. Just wanted to wish you lots of luck and positive thoughts for your upcoming delivery. And enjoy every second of those wonderful baby twin cuddles. I don’t know how you are planning on feeding them, but I breastfed with formula top ups initially then dropped the top ups. It’s hard work however you feed them tbh just wanted to share that can be done. My only other advice is brace yourself for the comments, “double trouble”, “hands full” etc, I personally love hearing them as twins are such a special gift haha. You got this! ❤️Xxx
Thank you all for the advice. I went for a repeat scan today and confirmed that both babies are head down and can pop out any minute still bracing myself for the experience. I'm having the chills now but your words have boosted my courage and I appreciate it
Here’s wishing you the very best ☺️
