I have a 18mo DS who was born at 34w due to prom. I’m pregnant again and am trying to find out ways to prevent another premature birth. I’ve read that taking progesterone to support the pregnancy is an option. Has anyone taken Progesterone during pregnancy? When did you start and finish? Which form of progesterone did you take and did it work??

Taking progesterone during pregnancy
I am from Ukraine and as I understood in our medicine doctors use it very often to support the pregnancy. What I know first you need to take analyse how much you have it now and compare it with weeks you are. It's growing up all time till 12 weeks. If you need I will send you the tables with proportion. Do analyse and it shows how weeks you are.
I had a risked miscarriage at 8 weeks after suffering a missed miscarriage 3 months previous, the doctor prescribed me 200mg vaginal progesterone to take each night to help the pregnancy. Although he did state there is no guarantee or proof it actually prevents a loss it was nice to take to feel like I was helping in some way, if that makes sense. I was to take it only till 12 weeks and no further. I am no 19 weeks along so it helped me in someway I like to think but I think different levels can get prescribed for different things as my case is quite different to yours. Hope it helps a little bit, sending lots of love
