Scent boosters

Hello, I'm just curious if I can use scent boosters on my toddlers clothes. She's 2.5yrs and the detergents I use aren't strong enough in smell once dried as we do use cheaper brands to save money. If not then I'll just use them on my clothes. Thank you.

I believe it is generally not recommended to let children be exposed to chemicals and perfumes that aren't strictly necessary. It increases the risk of then getting allergies later on in life. If I were you, I would buy secondhand clothes to save money and because they have usually been washed a fair few times meaning that the chemicals that manufactures add to them should be mostly gone. I would definitely not add any scent boosters to my child's clothes

Hi, we do get second hand clothes of my sister and her washing always smells amazing but I can't afford what she gets. I won't use the scent boosters. I just thought as she's getting older it might be ok. Thank you.

I add scent boosters to my wash, it has had no adverse effect on any of my children. I don't see any harm in it. If we were to stop exposing our kids to things as they are growing then when they grow up they will be sensitive to everything.

I agree with dkinuk i would avoid using these on children’s cloths. Although they smell amazing I would worry they could cause irritation on their skin. Aldi and Lidl do amazing smelling fabric conditioner for cheap although I’ve not tried it on my daughters cloths only mine so far. I use fairy non bio pods and conditioner and my daughter is 4 months old.

Asda own brand tropical powder is very reasonable and smells nice, it you could try some fabric softener, you can get own brand stuff that's not too expensive and you don't need much in a wash for it to make it smell nicer.I wouldn't use the scent things as I think they're expensive and don't actually do anything, at least fabric softener makes your clothes feel nice too.
