Ok, I'm 5' 1", size 8 (normally), healthy bust size currently 32F. I live in the Isle of Man which is crap for clothes shopping at the best of times (especially when you are petite) so I'm after some recommendations for maternity clothes that don't cost the earth from ONLINE RETAILERS. My little belly is starting to pop and struggling to fit into my normal clothes. I'm only 13 + 1 but being so small I think I'll be needing some roomier clothes soon.
Online remember ... I can't just nip to Liverpool or Manchester
Thanks

I got mine from new look, I have only bought 5 tops as most of my wardrobe is quite loose fitting and I just wear my leggings, I bought a pack of 3 tops for £12.99. h & m also have nice stuff, they r reasonable prices to I refuse to 1.buy loads of clothes that u will wear for 5 months and 2. pay an arm and a leg for them, the tops from new look have been really gd as like u I have a big chest and at 24 weeks they are really comfy and don't look like a second skin xx
Yes, New Look - we have one of them here - plus Internationale - they aren't my usual shops but I can certainly make use of them while I am baking my bun. Like you, I don't want to spend lots when I'm not going to be wearing them for long. They will have plenty of floaty / loose fitting tops and dresses for the summer months which is good but I'm not a legging girl - I think I'll have to get some elastic for my jeans and tie it around the button and button hole lol I need to get a couple of bra strap extensions as they are getting a little tight on the rib cage now! xx
And new look do things by length size which is handy, i really don't think there is much stuff out there for pregnant women if your looking at reasonable prices...I don't think it's worth spending out loads of money on things you won't be wearing for long! When I finish with my stuff I pass it onto friends and just tell them to pass them on after, next do some bits but still I I'm not that impressed with their stuff! I did buy a cardi from Jo Jo maman bebe which was £40 but I do wear it lots and its good material, they did do some lovely linen trousers but at £35 compared to £15 from new look it was a no brainer for me and I really like my ones from new look they have the elastic on the inside so you can adjust as u get bigger, but you being small your prob get away with normal clothes just a size up..not like fatty old me!
Almost the same as me! 5'2'', size 8 pre-preg, 30G pre-preg. I've found New Looks maternity range great - especially their jeans and linen trousers. I also have a few things from Mamas and Papas too, which are a good fit.
Thanks girls, you've been a great help! Don't think they do the maternity range in the shop here but will head into town for a look at their normal range plus check out their website. x
I do most of my shopping on line have a bigger range as my shopping centre in my town is quite small x
I'm 5'2" and found new look online were good as can buy by leg length. Asos are good but dresses come up quite long. Try H&M too. I'm 24+4 and still wearing normal jeans with a bump band, didn't like narrow banded jeans but probably need to buy over the bump now.
God I wish I was a size 8 clothes. Dorothy perkins I used to get alot of maternity clothes from and I think they do a petite range (not that I had any need to look past a size 12).
EBay is good as well if you don't want to pay too much. Wasn't so sure about wearing second hand at first, but as you don't wear maternity clothes for too long the quality so far has actually been quite good.
I 2nd ebay. I got a maternity bundle off ebay all dorothy perkins stuff. I wish I had checked the leg sizes of the jeans & trousers though as I think she was a giraffe.
New Look is great! They have loads online. Also might be worth checking out Asda and Tesco (?) althought I've not looked at them myself just yet. Debenhams also do a maternity range but I wasn't too impressed & I got a great swimming costume from M&S online in the sale. Mamas and Papas do a lovely range - they are a bit pricier but good quality. Hope that helps x
