Hi I’m new here, and I didn’t know who or where to ask this but I feel like I’m going crazy about this situation, basically I’m on the implant I have to take it out next year July, I got two boys, my youngest is 2. Didn’t breastfeed him. Now before I got the implant I kept an eye on my periods, now since the implant I stoped worrying about my period cos I thought I was wouldn’t get pregnant. Now I haven’t had a period for nearly two months but had like a little bit of spotting, I done a test and there was a faint line and a dark line. And it was one of them early pregnancy test, I been to my nurse and done a test and it was negative but I know I saw two lines, two of people saw it to. So now I’m going to get a blood test too, my breast has been leaking milk twice, I’m crying all the time, I always tired more then normal. But I actually feel like I’m going crazy. I mean could it be a phantom pregnancy? Please someone help x

If you did an early test with blue dye very often they have dye runs which look positive but aren't especially if you read them outside of the test time they're really bad for evaporation lines. So if you've had other tests that have come back negative then they're probably more accurate especially if you're on the implant as that's a really reliable method of contraception.A lot of people don't ever have periods on the implant and they're not always very regular if you do.

If your toddler is two it's quite likely that your body is still able to produce milk even if you didn't breastfeed, when you have a baby your body is geared up to provide baby with milk up to weaning which can be any where up to around 7 years, I've got friend who carried on being able to produce milk long after their children had finished breastfeeding. If your having blood tests done though you should get a definite answer from these.

Good luck x

I have done those early pregnancy test and they can sometimes give false results. I would definitely book an appointment for a pregnancy blood test, and check with you OB why you are having blood spotting. I would also be concerned about the liquid coming out of your breast, I definitely do not think this is milk, since it is too early for your body to produce colostrum. Let us know how it goes
