He understands everything I say and can follow instructions so well eg where’s teddy’s nose?
He’s very sociable. He loves pretend play and reading books.
He does lots of babbling and pointing and gesturing. He just doesn’t use many words! He tries to label lots of things but it just seems to all come out “baba!” He does say mama, daddy, more, yea, but otherwise I don’t think he says much else
I’m starting to feel really worried as he gets so much interaction / stimulation so I just don’t know why it’s not coming… he is a v busy child and v active I don’t know if he’s just not really bothered yet about talking

He's only 18 months. My kids vocab really flourished after age2. I now can't stop them talking (3.5 & 5.5 yo) so definitely wouldn't be worried at this point
I agree with roxannacar. My lb was 2 in feb and didn’t say much, he started attending nursery after his birthday and he’s speaking so much more sometimes little ones need a little longer to flourish 😊 xx
Mines about the same age. So far the only discernable word has been "oink". He babbles for England though and is obsessed with books and being read to. I'm sure it'll all come in his own time. Then it'll be endless why's and talking all the time.
My kids didn’t talk much either until after 2 they could say mamma dadda yes no etc but not really full sentences yet my niece was non stop chatting at 1yo
Does he have older siblings? My little boy didnt speak until he was 2 and a half. He didnt need to as his sister did it for him. When she went to school he all of a sudden spoke. He knew the words n what he wanted he just did it in his own time.
