Advice with spotting at 6 weeks

Hi all, I found out I'm pregnant just over a week ago, approx 6 weeks now according to date of last period, it would be baby number 5, thing is since last night I've been having pink and brown spotting when I go to bathroom, I don't have cramps just stomach ache, I called my local EPU and they advised only to go in to be checked if I fill a pad but it's hardly anything on the pad. I didn't have implantation bleeds with any previous pregnancies so I can't compare, has anybody had this and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy. I posted my positives tests, the digital test came up in less than a minute and the other two came up positive in seconds so definitely pregnant.

Yes I’ve had this in all of my pregnancies, I have 2 children, have had 3 miscarriages and am currently 17 weeks pregnant. So I’ve had spotting on and off between 5 and 9 weeks in all of them so for me it wasn’t necessarily a sign of miscarriage. In fact the most spotting I’ve had is with this pregnancy and it stopped at 9 weeks. At 6 weeks it’s really hard to tell and the EPU probably won’t want to offer you a scan until you’re closer to 8 weeks as they can get a lot clearer picture then. Very early scans can lead to uncertainty. Spotting on and off in early pregnancy is common so as long as it doesn’t turn into red, period like bleeding hopefully everything will be fine xx

Thank you, I spoke again with EPU and decided the best course of action is to have a private scan as EPU still refuse to see me unless I am bleeding more.
